What ever happened to Charlie, now "Charles" Gibson? He seemed nicer when he was "Charlie" on Good Morning America. It seems that when he officially transitioned from a "nice daily variety show" to a "serious news anchor" that he lost his sense of humor, his likeablity, and his objectivity....not that he ever really had much. It is just more obvious now.
His interview with Sarah Palin is the perfect example of biased, one-sided news reporting. He was unfair and unbalanced. He reported, he decided and did not give a dern about what anyone thought...ala Keth Olberman Chris Matthews. Sarah Palin got "Olbermannned" by Gibson. It was a disgrace and so unCharlieGibson-like. You gotta love the "hubris" question. Seriously, who the heck ever uses that word in any interview? I see it in literature or from a podium in a speech, but not in a national interview. Half of America looked at each other and said, "What does hubris mean?" I am sure webster.com got more hubris hits than any other word this year. Webster defines it as excessive pride and self-confidence. I want a self-confident President and V.P. I don't want a team that has to take a poll before they make a decision. We elect people that make decisions like us. We trust them. We don't trust Obama.
Sarah held up well. She has substance. She is the real deal. She is an incredible multi-tasker, a moral leader, a good wife, and a good example of balanced leadership. What she has done in Alaska are real accomplishments. Accomplishments that were part of her job for the people who put her in office. She is a responsible leader. She has the track record. As Dizzy Dean said in 1934, "It ain't braggin' if you can back it up."
